Code of conduct

Our meetups and Community Day are for everyone. This applies at every event, online space and channel run by the South Florida AWS User Groups.

Be welcoming

Treat everyone with respect, whatever their experience, background, identity or role. Beginners' questions are welcome; so are disagreements, as long as they stay about ideas.

Not acceptable

  • Harassment, intimidation or discrimination in any form.
  • Offensive comments, imagery or jokes, including in talks and slides.
  • Unwelcome physical contact or sexual attention.
  • Photographing or recording people who asked not to be.
  • Disrupting talks or events, or encouraging any of the above.

Speakers and sponsors

Talks and booths follow the same rules. Sales pitches belong at sponsor tables, not in community talks.

Reporting

Tell any organizer in person, or email contact@awscommunitydaysoflo.com. Reports are handled confidentially. Organizers may warn, remove or ban anyone who breaks this code, without refund.
